Principal
R&D Engineer - Based in Shanghai ( 5

Report to: Robotics dept. Manager (USA/PRC) and Project
Manager (Swedish)
Responsibilities:
§ Developing
and designing robot systems and automation applications
§ Develop
new products and bringing them to the next step using
existing platforms
§ Developing
and designing the Controller, mainly for electronic
application, using real time operating
systems, building program languages, motion/control
engineering and systems, power electronics, drive systems,
motors/actuators/sensors
§ Applying
expertise in modern robot control to perform process
requirement, real-time algorithm
implementation and robot programming
§ Developing
technical solutions and completing projects from
beginning design to completed end product,
ensuring products meet the functional specification
of the market
§ Initiating,
executing and working closely with business units
to develop and implement technology
plans
§ Providing
new project ideas to satisfy market and customer
needs while also ensuring the business
long term technology advances and competitiveness
§ Be
updated in technology competences to create new innovative
ideas and to develop real world products
§ 100% new product development in China with
support from global R&D team
Requirements:
§ M.S.
in a related Engineering discipline is a minimum,
P.h.D is an advantage
§ 8-10
years experience with proven track record in robot
system design and analysis in an applied research
and product development environment
§ Proven
theoretical and experimental skills
§ Sound
ability in simulation and programming utilizing state
of the art technology are crucial
§ Exceptional
organization, writing and presentation skills
§ Experience
in a multi-disciplined global team environment
§ High degree of technical skill, alongside strong
entrepreneurial, communication & project management
skills
§ Highly
motivated and results-oriented working style, persistent,
straightforward
§ Fluent
in English is a must
