The Robotics Industry is looking ahead with confidence to 2010.

Increasing sales since 3rd quarter 2009

"2009 was the most challenging year for the worldwide industrial robotics industry. 2010 will again be a demanding year for our business, because the realization of the necessary projects of our customers will take a long time. But I am convinced that finally, the AUTOMATICA in June 2010 in Munich will give essential impulses for new investments in automation."
commented Ake Lindqvist, IFR President, ABB, USA, the figures.

The results of the IFR Quarterly Statistics on Shipments of Industrial Robots show that the number of shipped robot units worldwide slumped dramatically by about 50% in 2009 compared to 2008, which was one of the most successful years. But as of the third quarter sales figures have been slowly improving. When will we again reach the level of the most successful years 2005 to 2008? On the one hand it will depend on the worldwide economical development. But on the other hand it will depend on us, the robot suppliers.

20 - 23 February 2011

Gulf food is our fastest growing event, 70% of our space is already reserved by exhibitors from the 2010 show.

Held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre this year’s event, February 2010, was the biggest in the show’s 15 year history. More than one million square feet of dedicated exhibition space was allocated to 3,500 companies from 81 countries around the world attracting 55,379 trade visitors from 153 countries attended the show, an increase of 18 percent.

This is a Key event and has UKTI funding available through the PPMA for qualifying companies.

Designated one of UKTI’s “High Growth Markets” the United Arab Emirates is the largest market in the Middle East for the UK.  It is the UK’s 14th largest export market at around £3.7 billion. 88% of exports go to Dubai and the Northern Emirates and 12% to Abu Dhabi (source UKTI).

The PPMA organizes the UK Pavilion for Processing and Packaging Equipment, which will be in the new air conditioned Halls at the World Trade Centre. There are many benefits in joining the group including a complete walk on stand package, grouped shipping, onsite assistance from PPMA and stand contractor staff, plus assistance with local & regional industry trends, customs and facilities

At the time of writing we do not have confirmed prices from the venue contractors for the walk on package but expect these in the very near future and will forward to interested parties. As a guide the 2010 costs for the walk on stand package was £400 per Sq metre plus a one off management fee of £500 for members

Case studies are an important topic of our annual study World Robotics Industrial Robots. You, the robot suppliers, have the opportunity, to show how robots can make the production processes more efficient.

"World Robotics Industrial Robots 2010" are looking for new case studies!

Everybody is talking about environmental friendly production and products. At the AUTOMATICA 2010 the initiative "Green Automation" will be presented. The automation industry is taking its responsibility to environmental policy seriously and is actively collaborating in elaborating the vision of a quot;greenquot; world. This is not only a question of the environmentally-friendly design of production processes, but also of helping resource-saving technologies overall to become established using the innovative solutions of robotics and automation. "Green Automation" will show the contribution of automation technologies to sustainable management of businesses.
